Behind the lens is a lifetime of experience working alongside all breeds - and just about every temperament imaginable. 

 

Over the years, in our capacity as trainers and behaviour experts, we’ve handled the bold, the sensitive, and the fiercely independent with the exact same approach - patience, deep understanding, and absolute professionalism.

 

While our profession, hearts and daily work is heavily spaniel-centric these days, alongside our fellow gundog breeds - we welcome dogs of all backgrounds for photo shoots.

 

We also know that real-world dogs aren't always textbook perfect, and your session should be as stress-free as it can be.

If your dog needs to stay on a lead, keep them on it. Once we are back in the studio, the magic of digital editing allows us to seamlessly remove the leash, leaving only a striking, timeless portrait of your dog in the landscape.

We want your dog to feel safe and relaxed. For reactive or nervous dogs, we can arrange to meet you at the secure 'Runfree' hire fields right here in Carluke, ensuring total privacy and peace of mind.

Our training world is very spaniel-centric these days, working closely with high-drive gundogs, but we welcome any dog to our photo shoots.

When you print an image, the printer needs a certain density of pixels per inch (PPI) to produce a sharp, clear photo. The standard threshold for a crisp, lab-quality print is 300 PPI.

 

A 50 MP Photo

Gives you roughly 8160 x 6120 pixels. At 300 PPI, you can print a massive 27 x 20 inch photo without losing fine detail, texture, or sharpness.

 

A 12 MP Photo 

Gives you roughly 4000 x 3000 pixels. At 300 PPI, your maximum sharp print size without resizing is about 13 x 10 inches.

 

Our portraits will be shot at 50mp

The candid shots we take daily that you see on our social media are at 12mp. Booked shoot sessions will be at 50mp
